D1.1 Practice Plate – Pre-Tacked, B-U2a/B-U2a-GF

Pre-tacked groove weld test assembly prepared to AWS D1.1 B-U2a/B-U2a-GF specifications.

Includes:

• (2) A36 steel plates – 3.25" × 6" × 1/2", beveled to 22.5° each side (45° included angle)

• (1) A36 backing bar – 2" × 8" × 1/4"

• Tacked with 1/4" root opening per code

• Laser-etched joint designation on the back for easy reference

• (2) reference sheets covering weld procedure, visual inspection criteria for the final weld, and instructions for cutting side bend specimens

• Weld height gauge for verifying final weld reinforcement is within AWS D1.1 spec

• Practice for AWS D1.1 groove weld qualification
