Need to haul gas cylinders occasionally, but don’t want a permanent cradle taking up space in your truck bed? The Bottle Buddy gives hobby welders, small shops, and occasional cylinder haulers a compact way to keep cylinders supported during transport.

Choose the version that fits your project: a ready-to-use cradle that arrives assembled, or a weld-it-yourself kit with plasma-cut flat parts you weld together yourself. The kits include strap slots to help secure the finished stabilizer and cylinder to your truck bed or trailer.

Finish: Assembled, ready-to-use units ship primered. Weld-it-yourself kits ship unfinished.

Built for stable transport

• Low-profile cradle design helps keep cylinders from rolling around in the truck bed or trailer.
• Strap slots help you position a heavy-duty strap over the cylinder and connect it to vehicle tie-down points.
• Suitable for common welding and shop cylinders such as argon/CO2 shielding gas, oxygen, nitrogen, helium, and compressed air, provided the selected version fits your cylinder.
• Compact enough to move between a truck bed, utility trailer, or shop floor.

DIY kit notes

• DIY versions arrive as laser-cut flat parts and require welding and inspection before use.
• Finished ready-to-use versions arrive assembled, but the cylinder and cradle still must be secured properly before driving.
• Check your cylinder size and the selected material/style before ordering.

Transport and safety reminders

• Always secure the cylinder and cradle with a suitable heavy-duty strap connected to vehicle tie-down points.
• Remove regulators and install protective valve caps before transport.
• Transport compressed-gas cylinders in an open truck bed or properly ventilated trailer, never inside a passenger cab or trunk.
• Follow the cylinder manufacturer’s instructions and all applicable local, state, and federal cargo-transport requirements. Acetylene cylinders should generally remain upright unless the supplier’s instructions say otherwise.
